JOB TITLE: Scanner Clerk
DEPARTMENT: IT
REPORTS TO: IT Systems Administrator
POSITION OVERVIEW:
See below responsibilities for a summary of Scanner job duties/ qualifications
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform clerical functions of scanning of all documents with due diligence.
2. Scan, verify and upload of documents into network storage drives, portable drives or NextGen E.H.R.
3. Scan eFiles and organize in an effective manner.
4. Scan, maintain and manage administrative files.
5. Perform clerical duties of scanning, maintaining and retrieving of all records and work files.
6. Scanning checks and billing documents as assigned.
7. Ensures excellent customer service to all FHCCGLA patients.
8. Ensures HIPAA compliance by maintaining strict confidentiality of all patient data and
E.H.R./Practice Management System (PMS) according to regulations and FHCCGLA P & P’s.
9. Attends the following meetings/trainings:
10. Scanning and archiving patient charts.
11. All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Computer knowledge a must (Excel, Power Point, Word).
2. Ability to speak Spanish, preferred.
3. High school diploma, minimum (or GED equivalent).
4. Excellent analytical skills.
5. Motivation to take initiative to ensure all tasks performed are completed thoroughly and accurately.
6. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
7. Knowledge of administrative principles and procedures.
8. Ability to prioritize workload and work under pressure of deadlines.
9. Ability to meet tight time sensitive deadlines.
10. Motivated and committed to the provision of high-quality healthcare for indigent and underserved communities.
11. Willingness to adapt to changes with regards to the agency’s growth and expansion.
12. Ability to speak Spanish, preferred.
13. Ability to function self-sufficiently, requiring little supervision.
